Hi everyone,

No doubt you have heard of the recent issues in Ecuador.

Last week President Lasso pulled the trigger on what is called “cross death” which suspends the National Assembly for up to 6 months. The President can then govern by decree, but an election has to be called after the 6 month period is up.

My hope is that the new consultation rules will be one of the decrees he signs sooner than later. The attached article is from Cuenca Life which is an ex-pat website for people who live in Cuenca and need straight forward information on what is going on in the country.

It’s important to note that there should be no negative affects for the project in Tenguel.
